Kevin 'Beatles Movies Are An Inspiration'

Kevin Jonas dished on his new Disney Channel show JONAS [Via JonasHQ]: 'We have an amazing team around us, amazing friends. Our cast is incredible. We have an amazing family and friends, and we're just like normal guys. We like to hang out. We go shopping. Hang out with friends. We go see movies.
But we just work a lot at the same time, but we love it.'

On JONAS being like classic musical series The Monkees and The Partridge Family: 'We were actually on vacation one year, and were out by a beach when a storm came in, so it was just raining for three days. So the only thing on the TV was reruns of The Monkees for literally three days straight. It was amazing.

I definitely watched The Partridge Family. Definitely of course we've seen
the Beatles' movies, a huge inspiration. I think for us we're really excited to incorporate our music as well into this process, and that adds a whole other element for us because that's where our original passion is, in our heart. To combine those two things is really, really exciting.'

Joe At Camilla’s Premiere
The 22-year-old actress was accompanied at the premiere by her rumored boyfriend Joe Jonas. He arrived to the theater extremely late kept low and quickly walked into the theater. The pair were the first ones out after the movie–the quickly got into the same limousine.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. –
A host of stars including the Jonas Brothers, Josh Groban, Foo Fighters, Michael Buble and “American Idol” judge Kara DioGuardi stepped out in Los Angeles on Friday night for the Grammys MusiCares Person of the Year ceremony, honoring Neil Diamond.

“I’m not used to this kind of thing so I’m just kind of feeling my way through,” Neil told Access Hollywood on the red carpet before heading into the event. “It’s very exciting…I thought they made a mistake, but I guess they didn’t because everybody showed up.”

Neil was honored by a host of artists, many of which performed songs from his extended catalog of music, including rocker Chris Cornell, who tackled “Kentucky Woman,” and Groban who took on “Play Me.”

“Not only is it a great night to celebrate Neil and his music, and music in general, but also a way to get a lot of attention for what MusiCares really means, which is artists helping artists and people in the music industry giving back to those that have come before them and those that need our help,” Groban said of the event. “And it is an amazing thing to become a part of.”

Also thrilled by the event was Jason Mraz and his beaming mother.

“It’s taking me back,” Mama Mraz told Access Hollywood, before revealing her Grammy-nominated son, “probably listened to [Neil] in the womb.”

And the accolades weren’t lost on Neil, who said he felt honored the stars themselves were so eager to play his music.

“It evidently touches people and that’s a good thing and that’s what I want,” he said. “I want to be able to reach out, touch people, make them feel good. Touch places inside of them that they don’t usually get in contact with. That’s my goal.”

This will be the biggest screens you can see the movie.

Nick Jonas UPSET OVER A SONG

“Radiohead keen on early rehearsals”


An early Grammy rehearsal for Radiohead on Saturday morning and another news from Grammy weekend:
WONDER TAKES JO BROS: Those watching The Jonas Brothers perform with Stevie Wonder on Saturday morning watched with anticipation to see how the odd-on-paper matchup would work.

Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas kicked off the performance with their own, Burnin’ Up, with Wonder on keyboards, also weighing in on some of the lyrics as Joe took over momentarily on conga drums.

“C’mon Stevie!” shouted out one of the teenaged pop sensations to the soul legend.

But it was no contest in the song department as the five-man horn section behind them all kicked in as the song segued into Wonder’s own funky 1972 classic Superstition with the Jonas Brothers struggling to keep up with Little Stevie vocally despite some animated footwork on their part.

….Speaking of perky ponytails (bad segue), hey, it’s the Jonas Brothers! And, because it’s already been leaked and CBS said I could tell you, also it’s Stevie Wonder! We were first treated to Stevie’s band working through the instrumentation of “Superstition” — you tell me what song has a better horn melody than “Superstition,” PopWatchers, because I cannot think of one — and then a little “Baby Elephant Walk” to kill time. The house started filling up with tweens who I hoped would not squeal too much when the Best New Artist nominees took the stage (they in fact did not squeal at all), and the stage manager came over the P.A. to instruct everyone to put their cameras away for the closed rehearsal. (Note: there were at least a hundred people in this closed rehearsal.) Stevie materialized behind his keyboards to warm up the vocoder, the JoBros milled around behind their guitars, the stage manager counted down… and next thing we knew, a 22-time Grammy winner was robo-singing the intro of “Burnin’ Up.”

So that means the rumored surprise guest appearance from Michael Jackson isn’t happening (at least in this segment), but, um, Joe Jonas was wearing a red nylon jacket, black pants, and white sneakers as he skipped around the stage, so that’s something. The medley does not sound un-good — I especially liked the way the brothers kept saying “C’mon, Stevie!” as though Stevie needed their encouragement — and it is a high energy three minutes, to be sure, that your teenage daughter will probably very much enjoy and then ask you who was the man in the sunglasses….




Jonas Brothers Assistant: Back With Britney

Felicia Culotta, the assistant to the The Jonas Brothers for the past two years, has decided to leave the musical trio to return to work with Britney Spears.

Fe says, “Britney has always held a special place in my heart, and over the course of the last year I have seen her work harder than she ever has in her entire life. Sadly, I am really going to miss the Jonas boys, but I felt I had to be a part of this exciting time in Britney’s career. I love Britney and missed her dearly.”

Fe was Britney’s assistant from 1998-2007 and is a longtime friend of the Spears family.

Effective immediately Felicia is working for Spears again.

We’ve run into Felicia many times. Even when Britney was at her worst, Culotta NEVER had anything bad to say about Spears. She’s a true friend and one of the few people that cares about Britney not about “Britney Spears.”

The Jonas Brothers: They Filmed Everything


The Jonas Brothers sit down with ET and dished about their upcoming flick, great Grammy moments and going shirtless.

On the filming the shirtless scenes in 3D Concert Experience: “Performing on stage will get you working out enough. It was funny because they told us that they were going to film everything - backstage, our quick change room and we forgot. We ran down there and there were cameras in our dressing room and you see us kind of freak out like - ‘Woah!’”

On the private screening in Texas: “We drove and surprised some fans who were watching the private screening. We just showed up and we kind of watched it with them. It was really cool to see their reactions — when they laughed and what was funny. We wanna do that more often, so we might pop in on another screening.”

On Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus’s Grammy performance: “It was great. Her [Taylor] performance with Miley was such a classic Grammy moment, them singing together for the first time. It sounded awesome. We think is was great that it showed both of their vocal abilities.”

On their favorite things from Grammy week: “Performing with Stevie [Wonder] was the highlight of the century. It was amazing. Meeting some amazing people — Chris Martin and all of Coldplay.”

The Jonas Brothers. One of the hottest young groups in music: the Jonas Brothers. The future is so bright for these guys that Nick Jonas has been spotted wearing his Ray Bans all over town. That’s a good sign for Luxottica (LUX: 14.51, -0.82, -5.35%) , the company behind the shades. Ray Bans haven’t been this hot since the days of “Risky Business,” but the stock has seen better days: It’s trading at its lowest since 2004. That could be a bad sign or it could be a great opportunity to grab a bargain…

Jonas Brothers Taping for GMA

The Jonas Brothers will not appear at the Good Morning America studio on February 13 or February 16. Below is the details.

“Here are a few announcements that may interest you. Contrary to what you may be reading on the internet the Jonas Brothers are not appearing or performing live at the Times Square Studio for Good Morning America in New York City on February 13 or February 16. Good Morning America is listed on their website and myspace page but it does not explain that their scheduled appearance is taped. We have asked the webmaster for the Jonas Brothers to update that information to end the confusion. They were interviewed during a previous date and that interview will be aired on Good Morning America on February 16th.”

The Jonas Brothers have dreams of being featured on the New Moon soundtrack.

The musical brothers — Nick, Joe and Kevin — dished to MTV that they’d love to have a song on the Twilight sequel’s soundtrack.

The JoBros shared, “The movie was obviously a huge success, and if they asked us to be a part of [the sequel], that would be great. It would be really cool.”

The Jonas Brothers look a wee bit exhausted after a long day’s work as they return to their New York City hotel on Wednesday night (February 11).

The Jonas Brothers are Mama’s Boys

The Jonas Brothers are adding “co-host” to their list of many talents. On Thursday, Feb. 12, the band will share the stage with Entertainment Tonight’s Mary Hart and The Insider’s Lara Spencer as c0-hosts for the day. The boys will also sit down for an in-depth interview where they reveal everything from their secret Valentine to the intimate details of their lives on tour.

So who is the special lady this year? “Mom!” all three brothers tell ET and The Insider. With such busy lives, it seems mom is the only one who can keep up with the band this year. Kevin, Nick and Joe tell Mary Hart and 75 lucky fans that life on tour is different for all of them.

Kevin reveals that he is the morning person in the group, while Nick is definitely the night owl. The brothers also reveal the nicknames they have for each other on the road. Kevin is “K2,” Nick is “Mr. President,” and Joe is “Danger.”

Jonas Brothers Want To Be On ‘Twilight’ Sequel Soundtrack

BEVERLY HILLS, California — If there’s one man out there who can get a group of women to shriek as loud as the Jonas Brothers can, it’s Robert Pattinson. If there’s one film that could draw in a fanbase as rabid as “Twilight,” it might be this month’s “Jonas Brothers: The 3-D Concert Experience.”

Now, the JoBros are hoping to join the two red-hot franchises together.

“The movie was obviously a huge success, and if they asked us to be a part of [the sequel], that would be great,” Nick Jonas said when we caught up with him and his brothers Monday, revealing that the trio are fans of Stephenie Meyer’s vampire franchise and would be willing to write a song for the “New Moon” soundtrack. “It would be really cool.”

“That would be really cool,” agreed Joe and Kevin.

In November, the “Twilight” soundtrack opened in the top slot of the Billboard albums chart and continued its strong sales throughout the film’s box-office run. Staying true to Meyer’s close relationship with music — and director Catherine Hardwicke’s love for mixing her images with disparate tunes — the soundtrack featured such diverse bands as Paramore, Perry Farrell, Linkin Park and Collective Soul.

Next month, Chris Weitz begins filming the sequel and will at some point start making his choices for a “New Moon” album. Whether the Grammy-nominated Jonas Brothers would write a “Twilight”-themed track remains unclear, but this much is certain: Before they can do much more “New Moon” campaigning, the chart-topping trio still need to actually sit down and watch “Twilight.”

“I haven’t seen it,” Joe admitted. “But I have heard it’s a great movie.”

“We’re looking forward to seeing it,” Nick added. “We’ve been a little busy, so it’s kinda hard to get the movies, but we’ll see it.”

“Typically, we’ll get the advance DVDs and watch them on plane rides or something,” Kevin said of the band’s attempts to keep up with Hollywood’s latest hits during their busy touring schedule. “So, hopefully, we’ll do that.”

These days, after selling millions of albums all over the world, the JoBros are charting a course that will allow them to make their mark on the big screen. This month’s 3-D concert flick will mark their movie debut, followed by the Farrelly Brothers’ “Walter the Farting Dog.” The JoBros are quite aware that a “Twilight” song could endear them to a huge movie audience and insist that, despite the claims of some haters (like Stephen King), the tale of Edward and Bella isn’t only for girls.

“For a lot of guys, they want superpowers,” Joe said of the appeal of Edward Cullen. “He’s a vampire, but he’s pretty strong and stuff.”

Edward and his Cullen family are so popular, in fact, that “Twilight” recently proved its power as a franchise by distracting screaming teens long enough for the JoBros to grab a pizza.

“I think this is really funny,” Kevin remembered of the first time the trio realized how huge “Twilight” was. “We were in town [the day of the 'Twilight' premiere], because we were working all day on our TV show.

“We weren’t able to make it to the premiere. We were invited, but we couldn’t make it,” Kevin continued. “That night, we were starving coming home from work. And we wanted to get pizza.”

While thousands of Twilighters screamed their heads off, unaware, the rock sensations snuck into a restaurant across the street and had a rare, peaceful meal. “The pizza place that we ordered from just happened to be across the street from the premiere,” Kevin laughed. “And so, we come up driving, and didn’t realize that it was the ‘Twilight’ premiere. It was one of those comical moments that was really funny for us.”

There were rumors going around the reason they were using the garage way out was because Camilla was in the car as well.

Since the street was very crowded where their car was trying to get out..
their car drove on the sidewalk to get out of the traffic! IT DROVE ON AN NYC SIDEWALK! They escaped safely and no fans managed to see who was in the car. Can’t they get in trouble for driving on an NYC Sidewalk?

From Jessica: My friend’s father is at Jersey Boys in New York City RIGHT NOW. Joe is with a girl, but he couldn’t tell what the girl looked like. Nick and Kevin aren’t there.
